Recently we attended the end of the year awards ceremony for Gavin’s elementary school. We were told that Gavin would be receiving recognition for an achievement but that’s all we knew.
I can’t tell you how proud we were to learn that he was one of only four third graders to receive the science award. The curriculum they mastered included the study of matter, energy, biomes, photosynthesis ecosystems and much more.

Gavin’s teachers were also recognized.
They were given the Golden Dustpan award for the cleanest classroom. YAY room 8.
It was a fun day. Many of Gavin's friends won awards as well. Some for math, writing and the "BUG" award which is the 'bringing up grades' award. We were so proud of them all.
