Universal Studios with the Cousins

Such a FUN day.  I love my kids so much and spending the day with them was just amazing.  We truly had a blast.  It was great hanging with Kelsie while she was home from college during the Thanksgiving break

 First things first.  The tour.

Then we passed through the "garage" for all of the cars in recent films.  You'll no doubt see some from the Flintstones, Back to the Future, Jurasic World, Fast and the Furious, Magnum PI and more.

 Popular sets including the clock tower from Back to the Future and To Kill A Mockingbird and other show like The Ghost Whisperer.

and DARN IT!  We just missed them finishing up The Voice on set.

Hogwarts was amazing.  We were tripping out over the tall crooked chimneys

The nights are gorgeous at Christmas time here.  Lots and lots of lights

And City Walk was totally amazing

A Weekend With Grandma

Kevin and all of his siblings have decided that we need to spend more time with Grandma.  Life is short and only our faith and our relationships with travel with us into the next life.  We picked this weekend to enjoy her company and here's what we did.  We picked her up Friday night and took her to see the movie "Wonder". and it was WONDERfull!  All four of us loved it

When we came back home, we grilled some steak and salmon and enjoyed that with some caramelized Brussels sprouts  and rice. We also had fun watching a cute Christmas movie before heading off to bed (The Family Man with Nicholas Cage)

 The next morning after breakfast, we drove down to Laguna Beach for the day.  It was so beautiful.  We all really enjoyed the weather and of course, the ocean.  you know that that is where we feel the most at home.

We couldn't get over this pigeon tree.  It was fascinating.

And of course, the city itself and the gorgeous beach are always easy to look at.

We also indulged in a gelato while we took in the sights.

And a wonderful surprise before we headed out.  We ran into my good friend and sister from another mister.  Pat Alexander.

We finished the day with a late lunch at Ruby's before driving Grandma back to her house just in time for her to get ready for her Holiday dinner at church.   Such a FUN weekend. Looking forward to our next adventure.

HaPpy Birthday Gavin... You're EIGHTEEN!!!

So he really just wanted to keep his birthday low-key.  We met a few friends at Outback for dinner and decided to take the cousins to Universal studios to celebrate Gavin and Bradley's birthdays.  Here's a couple of snaps from dinner.

Fall is in the Air
