Giving Thanks
I'm so thankful today for my family, friends, freedom and relatively good health. I'm thankful for the basics.... roof, hot water, pots and pans and beautiful weather 9 months out of the year. I'm thankful for salvation and for a healthy beautiful son. I'm thankful for my rock, my best friend and love of my life for 25 years. The list is really too long. I'm thankful for the big things and the small.
This is my life.... and it really is that good.

Not sure why...... but I LOVE this room.
Something about this room makes me feel at home. This is really my style. I love the earth tones, wood and stone. Even though the ceilings are high (which I love) the rich dark stain still manages to make the room feel cozy.

The Vargas Happenings.
I haven't been able to post as often as I'd like. So here's a little sniped of the Fall events at our house.
Kevin and I celebrated 25 years of marriage. In addition to a fabulous party hosted by Kevin's sibs and mum, we also snuck away for a fabulous weekend down in San Diego at the Paradise Point Resort.
I surprised Kevin with a speedboat tour Saturday afternoon. It was probably one of the funnest things I've ever experienced.
We attended and participated in a great event that our church holds each year. The Family Fun Fest. One of the benefits of attending a huge church is the resourced they have for putting on such an amazing event, We had carnival rides, food trucks, live music and game booths that were run mostly by the kids. Gavin's group had a really fun booth, Pin the Patch on the Pirate. Blindfolded, the participant must place a magnetized patch on the pirates eye. Hilarious!
Here are a few shots of our Thanksgiving get together with Kevin's family. I think my camera got passed around one too many times. As the day went on, my settings got bumped. Oh well. You'll get the idea.
