Until we meet again
It's with a mixture of sadness and joy that we say goodbye to Brielle. Many of you know that we have been praying for this precious little girl for many years. She went to be with the Lord yesterday morning at 9:45 AM.
There's much I could say about this amazing child, but you should read her writings and posts of her journey for yourself. It will encourage and uplift you to see such courage and bravery through the eyes of a child. Click her name below.

HaPpy Birthday Uncle Jim
Wow, I'm such a dope... Somehow this was lodged in the draft folder. I actually set it up the weekend we were up there and neglected to put a publish date on it....DOH!
All this to say that this man is an absolute treasure to us. Let me tell you a little bit about him. He is extremely quick to laugh, loyal and true through and through, wise and well informed, pretty darned good with a hammer, extremely thoughtful and without a doubt, has a true servant's heart. He loves deeply and is not ashamed to show a tear. Above all, he takes excellent care of my precious little aunt. Thanks for being such an important part of our lives.

The longest post ever....Can't help it.
We had an AMAZING weekend away last weekend visiting with family, hiking, playing in the snow and star gazing through Gavin’s new telescope, compliments of the best uncle in the world (we love you Jimmers). More on that later.
Here are a few pics of our little get away place, “The Little Red Cabin”
This little mountain cottage had a fabulous deck with everything we needed to relax.
A fabulous hammock witch we all enjoyed.
A little reading nook.
Stairs leading down to the HUGE fenced in yard for the pups.
Amazing views.
And the girls were totally taken by our neighbors gorgeous boy, Charlie.
The inside was adorable too. The owners Lynn and Doug thought of everything. There was something special for everyone. A little doggie bone place matt and doggie bowls for Penny and Ginger not to mention doggie treats and their own little plaid blankets.
A little drawing nook for Gavin, complete with colored pencils and paper.
Resort style bed for Kevin and I. It was seriously one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in EVER! It had wonderful high thread count sheets and gorgeous bedding. There were also “his and hers” robes hanging behind the door.
Cozy couch and fuzzy blankets in front of the fire.
Of course there were fabulous scenic hikes.
And the best part of our trip, hanging out with my family, playing in the snow.
Here’s me looking at you, looking at me, taking a photo of you, taking a photo of me….My uncle Jim and I have a tradition… :)
They brought….THE GAVINATOR… and a couple of other sleds. The more thrills the better for my kid.
Of course, he wasn’t the only one who loved the snow.
One little girl liked being off the leash a little bit too much. Getting her back was almost a problem.
In honor of Super Bowl, Gavin launched off the first punt.
And the highlight of our weekend was finishing off the day having dinner with my aunt and uncle. The one thing my family knows how to do…is laugh, and we did……lots.
